Craftiness

I'm not crafty. Unless you count pinning cute things on pinterest. But, I'm trying. I'm trying to be crafty so I can explore new hobbies that I may actually like. I'm also more proud of things when I can say I did them myself.  I found the easiest fall craft to do.
Tadaaa....

it was a messy craft

Glitter fall pumpkins! You can always buy really cute fall decor, but I like to find bargains and those usually mean diy. Joanne's is having a 50% off Halloween sale so I bought the pumpkins for $3(6 in a bag), glitter for $4 a bottle(I had a 20% off entire purchase coupon too), and Whitney brought the modge podge. We had a lot of fun doing the craft together and adding some sparkle to our fall decor.
I bought Halloween decals to keep the boys distracted

I mentioned Whitney above. Now, she is crafty and often talks me into doing them with her. A couple of weeks ago she asked if I wanted to make a skirt with her. We got the tutorial from Leanne and spent all day entertaining our boys and sewing these cute maxi skirts. Oh, did I mention she had to teach me how to use my sewing machine? I was taught but hadn't used it in, ever, so she had to re-teach me. She's the best. I love my skirt. The end.

  4. Love the stripes! Were you with Whitney Asay? We were also in the same ward back in our old place (the same one that I was in with Lia Barlow). What a small world! Great job on the skirt!
