Breanna's Bridal Shower

My sisters and I threw a small bridal shower for my baby sister since we weren't able to be at the WA one. We invited a couple of family members that are here in UT and it was too surreal to be at my little sisters shower. I'm still having a hard time believing the baby in the family is actually getting married.

Fun in the Sun

Today it was in the 90's!! My sister Leah invited us over for a slip n' slide party.

She brought lunches, a pool, and a slip n' slide for basically the whole neighborhood.

 Lets be honest, Jackson and I ate most of the pb&j's and apple slices, I just love eating food that I didn't have to prepare even if its simple. =)

Jackson loved the water and loved all the attention his cousins gave him.

Can't wait to do this more often, I'm loving the sunny weather. Jackson loved the weather and all the food I let him eat. I couldn't deny him red vines, it's his favorite!

Before and Afters

We lived in our house now for over a year. We are no where close to being finished decorating. We both love finding things that can add to our house to make it home. I had convinced Josh that we needed to get some frozen yogurt from u swirl since we had a coupon. Ross was right across the street, naturally we went to check out some deals.We found some, lots; shower curtain, rug, and pictures. We found the paint in our storage that was left from the previous owners.

There's still a couple of things I'd like to add; new light fixtures, and a different something above the toilet but it's nice to have one more room decorated.

Zion National Park Day 3

Saturday was our last day at Zion NP and I think that the timing was perfect. 3 days and 2 nights was a really great stretch for baby J. Saturday morning we packed up all our stuff and did one last hike. My MIL Lee Ann walked with us to the Emerald Pools while the ambitious hikers tackled Angels Landing.

It was a beautiful walk to see the Emerald Pools and I'm glad we got to spend that time with Lee Ann because we really didn't see much of Alisha or Barb, next time for sure!

After Emerald Pools we went to a short film about Zion with Lee Ann and then before you knew it, we were on the road again.
Now I really need to stop blogging and finally finish cleaning out the car and finish the laundry. . .

Zion National Park Day 1 & 2

We packed just a bit (when it comes to a baby I think it's better to have too much than not enough) and headed to Zion's Park this past week. We had such a blast!

Thursday we drove about 4.5 hours South to Zion. J did great, sleeping most of the way. Thursday was spent setting up camp and eating at a local Mexican restaurant, very delicious.

Friday morning Whitney and I woke up nice and early and had 10 miles on our training plan. It was so nice to run with a friend and someone to talk to. It was therapeutic and I really enjoyed it. Not to mention the scenery was beyond gorgeous.

The rest of the day we all hiked, the babies did great and we were able to hike all the fun trails that we wanted to(Hidden Trails, and part of the Narrows).

 Jackson finally woke up, and had the funniest expression on his face. He had a funny mark  on his right eye from the pack too, he makes us laugh.

Then headed back down. Josh was such a champ carrying the baby pack. It was a breeze going down, but it was like a giant stair master going up while holding 20+ pounds. . . Thanks Josh!

 I say part of the Narrows because in order to hike all of it you have to hike through the river. Richard and Jared braved the waters and continued on. They only made it another half hour up the trail when the water was already up to a gentleman's shoulders so they decided to turn around.

While they were hiking, the rest of us found a shaded area next to the chilly water.

Friday night we made tinfoil dinners and Richard made a delicious peach cobbler. We were all stuffed!

I was pretty beat by the end of the night, so I headed to bed before Josh's mom, sister, and aunt showed up to spend the rest of the weekend with us. I'll post day 3 soon=)

Wheeler Farm

Last week the neighborhood had a play date at a nearby historic farm.  Wheeler farm is exactly that, a farm on acres of land. It was really fun to hang out with friends and watch the older kids get excited about simple farm animals; pigs, turkey, sheep, cow, and horses.

Jackson did what he does best, sat back and enjoyed his surroundings.

Admission was free, so I definitely see us going back again this summer.
